On TELEVISION, Jamie is currently a Consulting Producer on So Help Me Todd (CBS) and has written on Eleven O’Clock Number (FX), The Right Stuff (Disney+), Charlotte Walsh Like to Win (Amazon), Sneaky Pete (Amazon), The Brave (NBC), Chicago PD (NBC), Halt and Catch Fire (AMC), Franklin & Bash (TNT) and Fairly Legal (USA). She has written pilots for FX, NBC, Netflix and Bad Robot, and teleplays for Amazon, Hallmark Hall of Fame, Hallmark Channel, Lifetime Television and UP, including one that gathered Emmy and SAG nominations for Gena Rowlands.
As a PLAYWRIGHT, Jamie's work has been named the winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays production grant, the Laurie Foundation Theatre Visionary Award, Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson ("Jeff") Award for Best New Work, and the Francesca Primus Prize by the American Theatre Critics Association, and many others. She is the only three time winner of the Ashland New Plays Festival, and her plays have been nominated for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and Illinois Governor’s Award, featured on the Kilroys' List. Her plays have been produced, developed and read by Steppenwolf, Long Wharf, Hartford Stage, LCT3, American Conservatory Theatre, Roundabout, Geva, San Jose Rep, Pasadena Playhouse, Northlight, Florida Stage, A Contemporary Theatre, and the Women’s Playwright Conference in Athens, Greece. Her plays include SPLITTING INFINITY, WAVING GOODBYE, SOME OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME, AURORA'S MOTIVE, RACE, THEODORA: AN UNAUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY, FAMOUS FOR FIFTEEN YEARS, and CHILDREN OF CAIN, along with numerous short plays. Her newest work, OTHER THAN HONORABLE, had its world premiere at Geva Theatre, directed by Kimberly Senior.
As a SCREENWRITER, Jamie has written features for DreamWorks, Disney, Vanguard Films, Walden Media, and Smith/Hemion. Other film scripts have been optioned by Greenestreet, Hearst, Trigger Street Films, and Lions Gate. Her newest screenplay MASTERPIECE was recently optioned.
Jamie has served on the faculties of Northwestern University (her alma mater), University of California Irvine, National Louis University, Columbia College and the Chicago Academy of the Arts.
